Local Food
We are keen to support local businesses and reduce the miles our food has travelled. We are members of the Shropshire Hills Buy Local Be Sustainable Business Scheme and among others we use the following suppliers.
Meat: Wall's butchers in Craven Arms
Chickens: Sourced from Springfield Farm in Leominster.
Fruit and Vegetables: Rowland's of Shrewsbury and local growers during season.
Speciality Cheeses: Andrew Pugh Butchers Bishop's Castle
Eggs: Ken Collins Eggs, Clun
Sausages: Peter Coombes Butchers, Clun
Bread: We endeavour to make our own bread from flour milled at Bacheldre Mill in Churchstoke although when this is not possible or we run out we use Village Bread from our local shop.
Ice Cream: Dairy Dreams, Churchstoke, Powys
