We are keen to support local businesses and reduce the miles our food has travelled. We are members of the Shropshire Hills Buy Local Be Sustainable Business Scheme and among others we use the following suppliers. In 2011 we were winner in the "Where to Eat Section" of the Achiever Awards by the Shropshire Hills Sustainable Business Scheme at a ceremony held at Cardingmill Valley on 12th October.

Among others we use the following suppliers.

Meat: Daysdrove Abbatoir in Bishop's Castle amd Wall's butchers in Craven Arms

Chickens: Sourced from Springfield Farm in Leominster.

Fruit and Vegetables: Rowland's of Shrewsbury and local growers during season.

Speciality Cheeses: Clun Valley Foods amd Ludlow Food Centre

Eggs: Clun Farm Eggs, Clun

Sausages / Faggots: Peter Coombes Butchers, Clun

Bread: We endeavour to make our own bread from flour milled at Bacheldre Mill in Churchstoke although when this is not possible or we run out we use Village Bread from our local shop.

Ice Cream: Dairy Dreams, Churchstoke, Powys

Beer: "Clun Pale Ale", "Citadel" and "Beyond the Pail" are all brewed on the premises. Hobson's Brewery in Cleobury Mortimer; Wye Valley Brewery in Stoke Lacey, Herfordshire; Salopian Brewery in Shrewsbury; Three Tuns Brewery in Bishops Castle, and our own Clun Brewery.

Cider: Robinson's Cider in Tenbury Wells and Westons in Much Marcle

Wines: Tanners Wines in Shrewsbury and Hay Wines in Ledbury

Apple Juice: Teme Valley Fruit, Tenbury Wells

Snacks: Ludlow Nut Co., Ludlow and Tyrrells Crisps of Leominster
