Bursting with fruit, this has greengages on the nose and mixed floral notes. In the mouth it has zingy acidity and plenty of fruit. A very moreish wine.

This has lovely tropical fruit aromas, hints of melon and a subtle oak character. There is a good weight of fruit on the palate which is refreshing with a dry finish.

This is an off-dry, fruity rosé, with plenty of strawberry flavours and lively, refreshing acidity. A good partner for Chinese and oriental dishes.

This has lovely plummy Merlot fruit with a ripeness that comes with the Chilean sunshine. Easy and very drinkable this is an all round winner for current drinking.

Promesa Tempranillo Vino de la Tierra 2002 £5.50
Matured for 1 year in vat followed by 6 to 9 months in American oak casks then at least 8 months in bottle. The wine has deep red fruit with subtle oak and a smooth palate.

Solora Shiraz Western Australia 2003 £6.10
A soft and fruity wine with typical Shiraz aromas of spice and mulberries. On the palate plums dominate with hints of pepper, the oak is well integrated and the tannins supple.

Château Grand Jean Bordeaux 2002 £6.50
This is a delicious, fruity, easy-going Claret with a hint of spice on the finish. Excellent value and needs no special preparation.

A superb creamy, biscuity cava with a lovely fine mousse and plenty of character. Made by the same method as Champagne, it has style and finesse beyond its price.

A simply wonderful Champagne. Made using a high proportion of reserve wines and seeing extended cellar ageing on it lees. It is characterful, toasty, complex and elegant with a lingering finish.
